Description of the lab
The group focuses on development of high-temperature energy conversion devices (SOFCs). The position includes:
- Fabrication and characterization of initial materials using wet-chemistry method, solid state reaction, and other techniques
- Synthesis of cells using 3D, inkjet, screen print, and other methods
- Sintering process
- Cell fabrication
- Catalytic activity and cell performance analysis including impedance, j-V characteristics, and other methods
- Characterization
Post requirements
- D. Degree in Materials Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or related fields
- A strong background and hands-on ability on mentioned synthesis techniques
- Experience in electron microscopy, XRD, TGA/DSC, Raman spectroscopy, cell test station, and particularly in potentiostat / galvanostat
- Efficient writing skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly research-oriented and ability to provide holistic solutions
