For the past decade, our research has focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms of neurodegeneration using in-vitro and in-vivo rodent and human iPSC models. We developed a unique compartmental microfluidic chamber to model the motor unit and currently trying to understand the role of local protein synthesis and RNA localization along the axons and neuromuscular junction in ALS disease.
