Geffen Kleinstern

Geffen Kleinstern has been recognized as an “Outstanding Young Researcher” by the University of Haifa.  The special Rector’s Award recognizes her impressive cancer research and contribution to the School of Public Health, where she serves as a Senior Lecturer.  A genetic epidemiologist, Dr. Kleinstern recently co-authored “The procoagulant potential before and after surgery for endometriosis and its association with disease severity” published in Blood Coagulation & Fibrinolysis Journal.

Previous studies have suggested that endometriosis is associated with increased hypercoagulable state. We aimed to determine the procoagulant potential among women with endometriosis before and after surgery.
